Born near Perth in 1804, Alexander Barrie Taylor was a Scottish lad who had a love for shooting, fishing and singing.
However, in course of time he moved down to Manchester, where he was converted and brought to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He later became William Gadsby's successor as pastor where he remained for 38 years enjoying both peace and prosperity.
